A fantastic development in four years!
Toihan is an expert organisation in Helsinki that was founded eight years ago and specialises in wastewater and its treatment in the pulp and paper industry. We utilize modern data automation structures and intelligent technologies in our project and service production. We provide mill-specific diagnostic services and cloud-based control and monitoring technologies to improve wastewater treatment process performance.
The first time we participated in the PulPaper event was in 2018. At that time, we took the first steps in the field of continuous process optimisation and presented our first mill experiences and achieved results. The event was important to us and there we received one of our important customers, among other things. Now, new intelligent technologies harness our engineering expertise for continuous data automation. Thanks to systematic development work, data processing is done even more real-time and accurately. We are able to visualise the status of the wastewater treatment process and make recommendations. The most advanced data we produce already goes directly to the mill process control.
We are participating in the PulPaper event again this year and our goal at the event is to become even more international there. In four years, we have made good progress and our customer base has grown. We will also launch a new computer vision application at the event. Flocmark® brings a new structure and systematics into the analysis of microscope images of bio-sludge. It also allows the condition of the wastewater treatment plant to be monitored by machine vision. In connection with the launch, we will arrange a separate event, during which participants will get to know summerly Helsinki. We will take a tour on the Flocmark® tram that departs from the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre and heads towards the PulPaper Party. In that way we’ll celebrate our new app with stakeholders who are important to us.
I hope that our message will reach as many trade fair visitors as possible. I will give my own presentation on the Future Square stage and Sakari Toivakainen will give a presentation as part of the ForestBioFacts programme. I hope to see you at the PulPaper event!
